OK, but who am I…

I grew up in a small town in British Columbia where the area is well known for its beautiful warm summers and snowy winters (which aren’t crazy cold). Our town was the gateway to some of Canada’s most famous waterfalls, amazing mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling and river rafting. What a dream right? Well, you never appreciate what you had until you’ve left and come back. I left my tiny town at 18 and felt the need to roam.

I spent a few years living in various mountain towns (including Banff). Residing in some of Canada’s National Parks gave me an appreciation for our beautiful outdoors and the immense vastness which surrounds us. This is when I fell in love with hiking and back-country camping.

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to paddle, dive, and snorkel in many exotic locales. I have always had a little problem where I can’t help but jump into rivers, lakes, and oceans I am near, no matter how cold they are. Glacier fed lakes and rivers are the BEST!

If nature is my jam, then traveling is my toast! My wife and I have been lucky enough to have adventured to over 30 countries. I love getting up before sunrise to experience the calm energy of how each new place is so different from the all the others.

Life is short; have way too much fun and take lots of pictures to remember those moments! There is a really good chance that I may be a bit goofy but, I can be also be totally serious when necessary. If you have a dance floor and some good tunes, good luck trying to keep me off it…with a camera in hand!

My love for photography started when when I was a kid, my father gave me an old film camera he didn’t use. For the last 13 years I have captured travel & adventure media for 4 of the worlds largest stock agencies. My photos and videos have been used by media conglomerates, Fortune 500 companies, luxury hotel chains, Ivy League universities, and many others.

I began photographing weddings in 2020 and was immediately surprised at how much I love to capture people on one of the best days of their lives. Pressure, ya. FUN, hell ya!
